Comments

Members of genus Zenarchopterus are not known to be viviparous. Howver, a female fish taken from freshwater near the sluice of the Kantalai tank bore 9 live young a week after transfer to an aquarium. Hence, the identification of this fish is tentative. Rarely found in inland waters.
